Harry Potter - Santa Claus is coming to Hogwarts Part 1 / 3

I wrote this little Christmas story a couple of years ago, nothing new then, but I think the right time to post it, just to qualify for the spirit!
I had to divide it into three parts because the post was too long, alas!

Santa Claus is coming to Hogwarts

Gryffindor Tower was animated by the voices and the noises of all students who were preparing to leave school ahead of the Christmas holidays.

As usual, few children would be left to populate the rooms and dormitories at Hogwarts, and among them, that year, there would have been Harry Potter, his inseparable friends, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, and his girlfriend, Ginny Weasley.

was not the first time I decided not to return home, although in recent years was born the custom of spending the holidays at the Burrow, in the company of all the noisy family.

That year, however, remain was not their choice.

Molly and Arthur Weasley felt nostalgia for Charlie, his work as a breeder and trainer of dragons kept him away from home for many months, and only rarely over the years, had managed to visit her parents.

Minerva McGonagall, head of the house Gryffindor, he entered the hole covered by the picture, clearing his voice. "Er - er ... all the guys who go home for the holidays are invited to come down, the carriages waiting in the courtyard. Follow me, please, "she commanded, turning on his heel and disappearing again beyond the portrait. He knew that there would be no need to check, some rarely Gryffindor had disobeyed his orders, and the three most riotous, that year, it would leave.

The room slowly began to empty, and the chatter that filled the air became soon a buzz and then disappear into the distance and disappear completely behind the last student.

" At last," cried Ronald Weasley, lying full length on the crimson sofa in front of the fireplace and enjoying the space found. "Without all those little kids you're better, right?"

Hermione Granger looked at him, severely. "Six years ago, even you were a kid, Ron, and you would not be at all happy to hear one more student great calls like that! "

" Hermione Relax, we all know that they called us in ways far worse! And then we were four cats, send in your holiday brooch by Governor! ", He said, crossing his arms behind his head.

" Perhaps it is yours, by the Prefect of pin, to be on vacation for too long, Ronald! I do not know how Dumbledore was able to reconfirm the position, given your lack of commitment ... "

" Oh, really! The two of you finished? Not even at Christmas you can declare a truce? I bet you too - you know - Who is a bit 'kinder to his Death Eaters, "cried exasperated Ginny Weasley.

was embracing Harry Potter, and hiding his face behind his shoulder began to giggle.

" Harry, stop that too! There not funny, these two are unbearable! "Ginny snorted.

Harry, with some effort, managed to calm down first and looked at Ron, who was still lying on the sofa, then Hermione, now staring at the fire with a grim look. "Yes, boys, Ginny is right. Let us as a Christmas gift, ok? White flag until after the holidays. "

Silence fell on the hall, waiting for the verdict. "Ok," said Hermione at last, "and then, in any case, talk with him is useless, as always does what he wants. "

" Maybe because I'm not your burat ...", Ron tried to replicate, but the murderous look Ginny made him desist. "Oooh, okay!" Snorted.

Hermione moved from in front of the fireplace and sat on a chair free. "And now?" He thought. "How will I do not argue with Ron for a week intera?!”

Harry looked at her in amazement, scratching his head. "No, I never thought of. That is, a child, for a while ', I believed, but then Dudley told me that there was, who were the parents to make gifts. Once I had to hide with him and saw Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon that put her under the tree. "

" What is Santa Claus? & Rdquo ;, Ginny asked, curious.

" It 'an old fat man dressed in red with a white beard and a rucksack, which should bring gifts to children Muggles," said Ron, sitting down.

" And how do you know!" Asked Ginny, looking startled.

" When I was little, one year at this time, I went to London with Dad and we saw a guy dressed like that on the street. There there are so many around! And daddy told me that children believe that the real Muggles come with a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer, the night before, bringing gifts. What the hell! "

" Ron, "cried Hermione.

" What's up! It 's bullshit, no? Or you still believe, "cried he.

She blushed. "No. .. that is, it's been so long since I stopped believing but ... If there is magic, why could not exist even Santa Claus? "

" Magic is another thing! That's ... that is in the air, is within us, around us, "said Ron.

" I know, you know ... everyone here know, but just because We are magicians! Muggles, for example, can not hear, then, for most of them do not exist! Me and Harry, for example, thought that did not exist until we received the letter. So, if there is magic, because it can not be the same for Santa Claus? "

" Be ', in fact, Hermione has a point ...", Harry nodded, quietly. "I, for one, I always got a present for Christmas. Simple things, sure, but I'm sure it did not come from Aunt Petunia it from Uncle Vernon. "

" And you never asked who was to take them?" Asked Ginny.

" how! I was pretty sure it was Santa Claus, then, however, after the Dudley thing, I started to think it was Mrs. Figg to leave them. It was the only adult with whom I had to do and that I hated, after all! But now that Hermione makes me think about ... "

" But let me pleasure! Are you all gone crazy? "Snapped Ron. "From Hermione can I expect certain things, is smart, but we know how the girls sometimes! They like to believe in some nonsense! But you no! "

" Oh yeah? I believe in nonsense, then?! And 'this all you've given me, Ron? "Cried Hermione, leaping to her feet. "You're an insensitive fool!" He cried, and sometimes disappears running up the stairs leading to the girls' dormitory.

" Hermione!" Shouted Ron, trying to stop it without success.

" you the usual idiot, Ron, do I have to say!" Ginny scolded.

He looked Harry in search of support, but the boy shook his head. "I think Ginny is right, man. "

" But I did not want ... is that she believes ...", mumbled Ron, red-faced.

" How do you not realize that Hermione for what you say and think she is more important than ...". Ginny stopped suddenly.

" More important of what? "asked Ron.

" Forget it!" She cried, writhing and angry by the embrace of Harry disappeared.

" More important than what?" Ron insisted, turning now friend.

Harry looked at the top of the stairs, then back to him. "More important of what they say or think everyone else. Of course sometimes you're really slow, "he said, shaking his head and he went in the boys' dormitory.

remained virtually alone, except for two boys who were playing gobbiglie third year in a corner of the room, Ron threw himself into an armchair. Ginny had said that he was an idiot, and it was exactly how he felt. A perfect, emeritus idiot!

Why could not let go, then? Why answer, always argue about anything you say, was stronger than him?

knew why. The truth was that if he had not behaved like that, bowing to a part of his instinct was to satisfy that other part of his instinct that told him to do quite different things, Hermione!

And then she wanted to believe in Santa Claus ... and then? What was wrong after all? He too wanted to believe that one day the manager of the Chudley Cannons would have called and, with no selection, he begged to be their goalie! And just say it all, if you wanted to be really honest with himself, the chance to happen and that there was the old fat ones were exactly the same.

And then there was another thing that had hit him. What Harry said. Hermione was holding to his opinion more than daughters care about anyone else.

For him it was the same, identical thing, but in his case there was nothing to be surprised! Who would not fall headlong at the feet of Hermione Granger? She was so beautiful, intelligent, nice ... ok, he was also arrogant, pedantic and unbearably precise, but this did not change things. It was absolutely perfect.

Thinking about it now, while the sense of guilt grew, along with the knowledge that maybe, Hermione felt something romantic for him, he felt even worse. He believed in something, as a child, something beautiful and pure, and in the midst of all that is evil around them, something that could be reborn in her heart as if it were a hope, the possibility that the joy of life, that which lies in the eyes of children, would survive the time and disillusionment.

What she said was unforgivable, there would be nothing strange if she refused to speak to him for the rest of the year!

" I must do something!" He exclaimed, standing up in an instant. He walked in a gallop toward the dormitory with every intention of asking for help to Harry, but she stopped with one foot on the first step.

She had no idea what to do, but above all, whatever it was, for once Harry had to stay out.

change direction, and grabbing his coat and the scarf came out of the hall. She descended the stairs, and a hair was not hit by a dive ink launched by Pix. He managed to dodge the last minute. "Damn poltergeist! Go to hell, you and Santa Claus! "Cursed.

" Weasleyuccio is in a bad mood!" Chanted Pix, fluttering around her head. "Does he still had a fight with the rich girl? Or red with fat, given that hates him so much? "

Ron froze. "Pix! What do you know Santa Claus? "He asked.

" I've seen here and there ...", whistled.

Ron's eyes widened, startled. "Have you seen him?"

Pix Then he burst into derisive laughter. "O maybe it was just the ape of Hagrid, I was wrong, "cried, and flew away ready to torment some other poor unfortunate.

" Damn poltergeist," repeated Ron. But a moment later, a beautiful smile lit up her face.

" course! Who can help me out here, "cried, hitting his forehead with his palm.

In less than no time ran out in the park, plenty of sinking into the snow that covered the whole field and not just struggling to his feet to draw out the deep holes in the ground disappeared at every step.

with shortness of breath, finally came to and knocked on the door of the hut's caretaker.

Inside Thor barked, and a moment later the voice of Hagrid silenced him. "Good puppy! I'm going to open up! "She said with sweet tone.

Puppy! That dog could easily be mistaken for a pony, given the size! It was indeed a worthy companion of his master!

Hagrid opened it and smiled. "Hey! You have come to see me! "

" No, this time I'm alone, "Ron said, almost apologetically.

Hagrid looked over his shoulder, inspecting the area, but in the end seemed to be convinced. "Oh, be'...vuoi entrare?”

“ Si, grazie”, rispose Ron, e si fece largo tra lo stipite della porta e la mole del mezzo gigante.

“ Vuoi del tè e dei biscotti?”, chiese Hagrid.

Ron spostò lo sguardo sul piatto pieno di informi biscotti che sapeva essere in grado di scheggiargli un dente. “Solo tè, grazie, fa abbastanza freddo out, "he said, breathing on his fingers numb and rubbing them together.

Hagrid filled a large cup and handed it to him. "Well ... all right there?" He asked, pointing with his eyes on the small window where you could see the castle.

Ron swallowed a sip and felt the beneficial flow of the liquid that licked the throat. "Yeah, okay ...", mumbled, sending down another bit 'of tea.

Hagrid looked at him, unconvinced. "Are you sure?"

" Yes," said Ron.

" If you say so ..."

" Ok, not all is well. In fact, it's all bad, "cried the boy, suddenly.

" I knew there was something! I learned to know you, you guys! "He exclaimed, very pleased with. "And since you, I try to even guess what's your problem! Hermione! "

Ron opened his mouth to reply. What the hell! Possible that every time he had something wrong, the first thing that came to mind at all was that he had quarreled with her?

Dejected began to beat head on the table. "Yes! Damn, yes! I've done it this time! ", Whimpered, and told briefly what had happened to Hagrid.

" Ok, I understand why you are angry," he said at last. "You know how it is made Hermione, she is the first class, always says something intelligent and you tease about Santa Claus, you have it made her feel stupid. And then there's the other thing ... "

" What is the other thing!" Said Ron, exasperated. There was always something else, he was learning to understand it at his own expense. The one thing they could never reach alone, or combined only after the trouble.

" You know, not what am I to tell you, but she has a soft heart when it comes to you!" Hagrid said, blushing. Talk about certain subjects had never been his forte!

Ron sighed sadly. And two! It was the last straw, even if he had noticed Hagrid! Perhaps, he seriously needs to give a joggle its sensitivity!

" However," the keeper continued, "I did not understand how I can help you out."

Ron took a deep breath before speaking. It would have been easy to convince him, but Hermione had to at least try.
